Chanting of the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Starting Saturday, May 23, 2015, the parish will
begin chanting together the Divine Mercy Chaplet
at 3:00 P.M. This devotion, which was blessed by
St. John Paul II and is celebrated throughout the world is a great way of pleading for God’s mercy.

Please consider attending these public prayer events.

Growing Season is Here
In February the gardeners prepared the beds.
Cabbage, eggplant and garlic are growing now.
The parish provides the space and water, the Lord sends the sunlight and pollinators and volunteers labor so that all summer long there are fresh vegetables in the shopping carts of food bank clients.

Catholic Home Missions Appeal

Every year our archdiocese participates in the missionary cooperation program and invites missionaries throughout the world to share their work in the missions. This year our archdiocese has chosen the Diocese of Catarman, Philippines.

The purpose for this appeal is for the malnourished children and the poor, for the formation of lay leaders and for continuing education of our clergy.

The missionary priest coming to preach on May 30-31, 2015 is Rev. Michael B. Semana. He is going to share their mission work and the plight of the poor in his diocese. Rev. Semana has been a priest for 36 years. He represents the Most Rev. Emmanuel Trance, D.D., Bishop of Catarman.

Most of the poor villagers are in the hinterlands. 80% of the population are agricultural workers and farmers. They are sometimes visited by typhoons 33 times every year which destroys their crops and nipa/bamboo-made houses.

Please be generous!

CENACLES

CENACLES rosary prayer group starts at 6:00 P.M.
It meets every Monday in the church on the Blessed Mother's side. During the hour, two sets of mysteries of the Rosary are prayed and a fast is offered once a week

ALL ARE INVITED TO COME!

The Boulder Gabriel House at Sacred Heart of Mary Parish is looking for personal items such as baby lotions, shampoo and personal care items for the mothers. Drop off items in the boxes located in the Narthex.

An Update on Church Repairs

When Is the Church Going to be Repaired?
You may have noticed some additional plaster has come off the inside church walls. The recent snowfall has allowed more moisture to seep into the church. It has been determined that the gutters require replacement to prevent further damage. The Parish has contacted a commercial gutter company who is in the process of preparing a bid for replacement. Interior church repairs will be delayed until new gutters are in place.

                       Septic System Now in Use
The water treatment system has been decommissioned and the parish facilities are now using a new septic system. We would ask for your help in caring for this new system by complying with any signs regarding food or trash elimination.
